About UsIn 1922, at the meeting of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars in St. Louis, the registrars from Illinois held an informal conference and decided to organize the Illinois branch. The founding members were from the University of Illinois, Illinois Wesleyan University, and Bradley Polytechnic Institute (now Bradley University). In April 1923, the Illinois Branch of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars was organized and held their first meeting at Bradley Polytechnic - there were 22 members present. At that meeting, the constitution was adopted, and it was decided to hold meetings bi-annually. Currently, IACRAO has more than 500 individual members from 100 institutions. We continue to have meetings twice a year: the annual conference in the fall and Spring district workshops. Who is IACRAO ?IACRAO's membership is made up of admissions, registrars, record and registration, and enrollment management professionals from higher education institutions throughout the state of Illinois. Membership opportunities are also available for organizations who work with admissions, registration/records or enrollment management in the state. |
