Equal Educational Opportunities Officer (Executive Board - Voting Member)
Illinois Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers Election/Term of Office: Bylaws, Article V, Section 12. Equal Education Opportunities Officer. The E.E.O. Officer shall be elected for a term of two years and can serve one term only.
Reports to: President Primary Function: To serve as an advocate for diversity within IACRAO.
Major Responsibilities:

Encourage the participation of minorities in the organization.

Serve as a member of the Nominating Committee.

Serve as a member of the Program Committee.

The E.E.O. Officer will also serve as the IACRAO representative at appropriate AACRAO meetings dealing with inclusivity issues.

To bring to the attention of the President any known cases of discrimination within IACRAO.

Submit articles, according to established guidelines, to the Editor for publication in the Chronicle.

To attend all meetings of the Executive Board. This will require travel to the meetings which will vary in location. Expenses will be paid by IACRAO. There are three to four meetings each year.

Bring archival material to the conference Executive Board meeting (or as needed) for submission to Archivist.
General: It is the primary responsibility of the Equal Educational Opportunities Officer to encourage minority members to become more active within IACRAO and AACRAO. In addition, E.E.O. serves as the Ombudsman for the organization and, when necessary, brings to the President or Executive Board matters which need to be resolved.
